Dedicated to helping former Jehovah’s Witnesses recover from religious abuse, and transition into the real world.
Written and maintained by Psychologist, and former Jehovah’s Witness, Mark Jones.
Welcome. You’re about you change your world forever…
Hi, I’m Mark — a former Jehovah’s Witness, a psychologist, and someone who knows what it feels like to wake up in a world that suddenly doesn’t make sense anymore.
For nearly three decades, I was deeply immersed in the Jehovah’s Witness organisation. I did what many of us did: followed the rules, silenced my doubts, and put my life on hold so that I could make it to “the new system”. But behind the polished surface was a growing sense of disconnection, fear, and confusion — especially when I began questioning the very framework I had built my life around.
Leaving wasn’t easy. It meant enduring shunning by my entire family, rebuilding my identity, and facing the deep emotional wounds that high-control groups leave behind. But I made it through — and I’m still healing, still growing, and now helping others do the same.
But this isnt about me, this space is for you:
– If you’ve left or are thinking of leaving the Jehovah’s Witnesses
– If you’re struggling with guilt, shame, or fear of Armageddon
– If you’ve lost family, community, or even your sense of self
– If you want to rebuild your confidence, explore new beliefs, and reconnect with life on your own terms
Through my writing, videos, courses, and community, I’ll share psychological tools, personal insights, and practical guidance to support your recovery journey. You’re not alone — and you’re not broken. What you’re experiencing is normal after leaving a high-control group. There is hope, and there is life after Watchtower.
Thanks for being here.
